Welcome to HomeGrown! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HomeGrown mobile application ("App") operated by HomeGrown ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HomeGrown, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

HomeGrown is a parenting companion app that provides:

• AI-generated parenting insights, daily tips, and adventure ideas
• Chore tracking with points-based rewards system
• Meal planning with AI-generated recipes and grocery lists
• Recipe Book for creating, saving, and importing recipes
• AI-powered product recommendations with Amazon affiliate links
• AI chat assistant for parenting questions
• Memory journal, milestone timeline, and important documents storage
• Social sharing of milestones, adventures, and achievements
• Role-based push notifications
• Three-tier family sharing: Partner (full access), Extended Family (limited access), and Caregiver (view-only access) (Premium)
• Google Calendar integration (Premium)

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To use HomeGrown, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

Account Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. HomeGrown is intended for adult parents and guardians to manage their family's information.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free and Premium Plans

HomeGrown offers a free tier with basic features and a Premium subscription ("HomeGrown Premium") with enhanced features.

Auto-Renewable Subscription Terms

HomeGrown Premium is available as an auto-renewable subscription with the following options:

• Monthly Subscription: $5.99 per month, billed every month
• Annual Subscription: $59.99 per year, billed every 12 months (save 17%)

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the subscription price listed above.

Payment Processing

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are managed and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment terms are subject to their respective policies.

Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing and Cancelling Your Subscription

You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:

• iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > HomeGrown Premium
• Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > HomeGrown Premium

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to Premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create in HomeGrown (profiles, chores, rewards, recipes, meal plans, etc.). By using our service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display this content to provide our services.

Content Guidelines

You agree not to upload content that is:

• Illegal or promotes illegal activities
• Harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Infringing on others' intellectual property
• False or misleading

6. AI-Generated Content

Nature of AI Content

HomeGrown uses artificial intelligence to generate parenting insights, tips, adventure ideas, meal plans, recipes, and product recommendations. This content is:

• For informational and entertainment purposes only
• Not a substitute for professional parenting, medical, or mental health advice
• Generated based on general patterns and may not be suitable for every situation

Safety Limitations

Our AI chat feature includes safety guardrails that redirect medical, mental health, legal, and emergency questions to appropriate professionals. Always consult qualified professionals for serious concerns.

No Guarantees

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. You use this content at your own discretion and risk.

7. Third-Party Services

HomeGrown integrates with third-party services:

• RevenueCat: Subscription management
• Google Calendar: Calendar sync (optional, Premium)
• OpenAI: AI content generation (insights, adventures, meal plans, recipes, product recommendations, chat)
• Amazon Associates: Product recommendation affiliate links

Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Product recommendations include Amazon search links; purchases made through these links may earn us an affiliate commission.

8. Intellectual Property

The HomeGrown app, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our app or content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use our trademarks without permission

9. Disclaimers

HOMEGROWN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

• Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of AI-generated content

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOMEGROWN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Actions taken based on AI-generated content
• Issues arising from third-party integrations

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeGrown and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, and we may delete your data.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of our principal place of business.
